I was under the impression that the part of Harris's platform that appealed to Cheney was "she's not Trump." Are there other parts of her platform you're referring to as being too right-wing friendly?

Teenagers kill God with the power of friendship?
Yeah though they started as proprietary features on various texting and messaging platforms popular especially in Asia. Google pushed to absorb them into Unicode so everyone could use the same symbols and here we are!
That's an emoji alright ✅
In the last 40 years we've had more Republican presidents than Democrats
Ok, so if leftists are just a scapegoat and didn't cause Harris' loss, then "shitting on" them shouldn't really matter in terms of electoral strategy, no? It doesn't seem like it can be both that leftists are inconsequential *and* that pissing them off causes you to lose?
There's a significant contingent of the supposed "Democratic base" that does nothing but shit on the Democratic candidate every election year. Maybe they're not really part of the base after all?

To wit: people are rating the current environment *worse* than the great recession, when wage growth was negative for several years!
There have been plenty of previous periods of wage stagnation, generally after recessions. Sentiment dips a bit but never this drastically, this fast. What's different this time?
It's funny but the only people who actually make money on polymarket are
- inside-traders, and
- polymarket

This certainly is the narrative being pushed but it doesn't explain why the protests *completely* collapsed. Even at schools with less draconian rules. Even less disruptive methods that are plainly legal and permitted. Even off-campus. The fact is this group of activists simply lost interest.
It's because they got the result they wanted from the 2024 election
Did all the universities change their policies? The protests achieved all of their goals and so they stopped? Is that what you're saying?
Encampments have always been illegal. The message from activists was always that effective protest required disruption and civil disobedience. That 100% legal and permitted protesting was pointless.
But now the excuse is "it's too dangerous we might get in trouble so we stopped"? Give me a break
The leaked code was just the "harness" it doesn't include the actual AI model which is probably terabytes of neutral network data
It needs to pass a law (subject to presidential veto as usual) to designate a 25th amendment body other than the cabinet. Also in either case the vice president has to be on board.
Is there *any* training that says shooting into a moving vehicle is ok under any circumstances? How is that supposed to make any situation safer?
They're cute, like little pet chatbots. They try so hard
You don't speak for all the people who were in an anxiety spiral today. Some of us need the TACO jokes right now.
“As officers approached the car, the wanted gang member weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run an officer over. Following their training, our officers fired defensive shots to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and the public,” the statement continued.
This BS again?
I'd bet a small sum of money that the lunar lander isn't going to be starship
Batman from "The Dark Knight Returns" snapping a shotgun in half. The speech bubble is edited to say: "AI is the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it. We will not use it."
