We simply had to intentionally destroy the worldâs strongest economy while dismantling our scientific and educational infrastructure to ensure that a team with a trans girl would never finish second place in the Mountain West volleyball standings again

Rep Zephyrâs speech flips 13 GOPs, trans bills die in Montana
Trans people have been scapegoated so effectively (among older people) that we're flooded with models of how to hate.
But when people hear the love behind why we stand up for each other, we win.
Bravo, @zoandbehold.bsky.social!
It is so 2025 that a film with a trans storyline that the trans community fucking despises wins some of the most prestigious film awards in the world and the cisgender winners donât even mention whatâs happening to the trans community in the very country theyâre accepting the awards in
Today weâve launched a fully-costed arts policy which will see Australian artists and creatives properly supported, funded and valued. ART MATTERS. The plan will inject billions of dollars to sustainably fund the arts into the future.
Did you hear about the Greens new arts policy? We will:
- Pilot a living wage for 10,000 artists
- Put an artist in residence in every public school and library
- $2bn investment in the arts over a decade
- $300 million capital fund to expand and renew arts infrastructure
i'd like to think as well that if trans men are willing to fight for their manhood and/or masculinity despite various challenges then surely it's not the inherently evil, toxic thing it is sometimes demonised as, and there's strength in making it your own, as opposed to shame in wanting it đ
incredibly useful list. thank you for creating and sharing it.
adore Vince Gilligan but this thread absolutely nails it.
A reminder that @scarleteen.bsky.social is 100% queer and trans run and will ALWAYS be providing educational materials, support, and more to youth seeking sex, relationships, and health education from a source who won't casually erase their existence with their political winds.
A screenshot of a Twitter/X exchange. Elon Musk (@elonmusk) tweets: "One of the first things Hitler did upon gaining power was apply aggressive censorship." The tweet has 1.1K replies, 1.7K retweets, 14K likes, and 346K views. Below, a user named "punished evan loves worf" (@eeesssjjj) replies with a single word: "cisgender." Below the reply, a notification from X states: "Visibility limited: this Post may violate Xâs rules against Hateful Conduct," with a "Learn more" link. The interface follows X's standard dark theme, with Elon Muskâs profile picture showing him speaking on stage with an American flag in the background.
I really really need you guys to make a conscious rejection of generative AI tools part of your ongoing political resistance.
Don't use ChatGPT. Turn off Gemini. Don't read the AI results forced upon you at the top of Google search. Don't use AI art generators or support anyone who does. Please.
His family is asking for financial support, here, to pay for their travel to collect his body, all of them to travel back to Minnesota, and funeral expenses.
Please consider chipping in, and show up now to protect trans people in your life. Please.

Sainthoax (image and text) I MEAN, AT THE END OF THE DAY TRANS PEOPLE ARE LESS THAN 1% OF THE POPULATION TRANS PEOPLE ARE NOT THE REASON YOU CAN'T AFFORD EGGS, WE'RE NOT THE REASON THAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD HEALTHCARE, WE'RE NOT THE REASON THAT YOU CAN'T BUY A HOUSE I THINK THEY'RE FOCUSED ON THE WRONG 1% - THE OTHER 1% IS THE REASON FOR ALL THOSE THINGS.
âI THINK THEY'RE FOCUSED ON THE WRONG 1%â
- Laverne Cox (speaking to America (on the View) about the administrationâs use of transphobia, propaganda, and policy to harm the trans community)

Iâll be right here waiting for youâŚ
I've been able to brush off most of the erasure of trans people from government websites, but this one is REALLY getting under my skin. It's just complete revisionist history.
How fucking dare they
Old vs. new
Trumpâs executive orders are not law.
This doctor knows it. Many hospital systems know it.
Those that comply with something not passed by congress and with power not constitutionally granted to the president are cowardly.
I got mad at the New York Times after their editorial board released an opinion piece condemning Trump's anti-trans EOs and I decided to write about how the paper of record laundered transphobia into the mainstream and paved the road for Trump's transphobia. www.patreon.com/posts/nyt-ed...
Legend.
Here's a thread about how trans people can approach remaining informed of the news in a way that prioritizes pragmatism, self-care, and building resistance.
It's based on what I'm doing personally. So, fyi, I'm more anxious than usual, but holding up substantially.
A screenshot of a multiâcolumn table listing several U.S. presidential Executive Orders relating to LGBTQ+ rights and antidiscrimination policies. Each row has columns for âOriginâ (POTUS), âNumber/Identifierâ (e.g., EO 13988), âTitleâ (such as Preventing and Combating DiscriminationâŚ), âAction Typeâ (e.g., Broad Nondiscrimination, Military Nondiscrimination), âSummaryâ (key points of each order), and âDate Signed.â The listed orders span from early 2021 through early 2025, covering topics like preventing discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation, banning conversion therapy, rescinding prior harmful EOs, and restricting or expanding DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives.
A spreadsheet at the top shows columns tracking antiâLGBTQ bills by status and year: total bills (334), 2025 bills (327), 2024 rollovers (7), how many passed committees (3), passed one chamber (5), passed both chambers (0), enacted (1), vetoed (0), failed (3), and carried forward (0). Below that, another header row lists different types of antiâLGBTQ legislation (e.g., genderâaffirming care bans, pronoun bans, âDonât Say Gay,â drag bans, bathroom bans) with the total count of each category (e.g., 55 for genderâaffirming care bans, 20 for pronoun bans, 14 for âDonât Say Gay,â etc.). A colorâcoded U.S. map spans the lower half, with states shaded from light orange to deep red according to how many antiâLGBTQ bills they contain. Texas appears in the darkest red (46 bills), with lighter shades indicating fewer bills in other states. A note at the bottom right explains that the map shows total tracked bills per state, which does not necessarily reflect each billâs likelihood of passage.
We've created a tracker that covers all executive orders affecting LGBTQ folks along with federal and state legislation.
We're at 334 anti-LGBTQ bills.

Posting doomerish comments in the mentions of strangers is not revolutionary, just a sign you need to buy and use a journal
what an alt universe. he gets super preoccupied with Fixing Theatre. really into Brecht. in press conferences he screams about BLOCKING and LEVELS. nobody asks him if he's read The Crucible. Make Theatre Great Again!! Elon gifts him a copy of Macbeth.
as if trans and queer kids aren't among the most vulnerable people in the country. evil evil evil.
screenshot from an ESPN article about the NCAA changing it's criteria for trans athlete participation. text reads: Regardless of sex assigned at birth or gender identity, an athlete can practice and compete with a men's team assuming they meet all other NCAA eligibility requirements. However, the NCAA said an athlete assigned female at birth who has begun hormone therapy (testosterone, for example) can practice with a women's team but cannot compete on a women's team without risking the team's eligibility for championships.
really saying the quiet part out loud huh. what's a little transphobia without some transmisogyny sprinkled on top.
Lots of fear and uncertainty on my skyline for the last few days, but it's more crucial now than ever that we keep the focus on CONCRETE ACTION that everyone can be taking in the face of this mess.
I've collected a short list of folks who've helped me to keep my focus on that crucial benchmark.
it's like they think they're removed from it all, too. they say "so sorry to your community", or "for your pain" like... honeybun you have to know "restoring biological truth to the federal government" is an Everyone Issue. transphobia, ironically, doesn't discriminate. good luck with that though.
it's shockingly bad. i finally switched to DuckDuckGo as search engine and to Firefox as a browser and it's ridiculous how much more usable the internet suddenly is because of it.
Figure out what grounds you and anchor yourself to that.
