He definitely is also curmudgeon drug addict dr Sherlock Holmes. That is certainly part of it. At least for me though lots of the stories hit deeper.
Sort of how the world wants pain to be orderly and fit into its little rules but that’s not it works and this show represented that well.
I always appreciated Houses unapologetic atheism especially back then. Beyond that though there was just something about that character and how the show represented mental and physical chronic pain that really made me feel something and relate.
I don’t mention this much on here but House MD was my favorite show basically since it aired. I own the whole thing on physical.
I don’t mind talking with people about the issues and even advocating but I think people are starting to stand firm on the idea that regardless of the issues importance you can’t just be a jerk to people and make demands constantly.
I’ll play the games I want and watch the shows I want.
I’m starting to see a small group of entertainment fans coalescing around the idea of just not taking crap from people with an issue or an axe to grind. It’s very encouraging. I think a lot of us regardless of nation, politics, or other designation are getting tired of people shouting in our ears.

As I continue with zone 3 of #Pragmata and the difficulty ramps a bit I’m struck again by how fun this combat system is. Especially with more options opening up.

Pragmata is a great game for me. Diana is excited about every little thing and though I lost my childlike wonder long ago this game still has even me going “awww look how excited she was about X”

A fantasy or isekai anime using stock or tropey video game concepts in its power system is vastly preferable if the alternative is a power system that won’t get ample time to be explored or used to affect during the runtime of the show.
Hot take: art that challenges you or makes you uncomfortable doesn’t automatically have more artistic merit than something that soothes or entertains.

Pragmata looks to be a wholesome and moving game with fun combat and there are still idiotic moralizers on both the right and the left trying to make it out to be something it’s not.
I have had it up to here with every uninformed person having a moral crusade constantly.
