Do you wish me a happy new year, or mean that it is a new year to be happy whether I want it or not; or that you feel happy going into this new year; or that it is a new year to be happy on?

Sometimes you dive into the abyss.

So that others can be saved.

That’s just how we sacrifice for our world.

I bought this as one of the first PC games back when I had a barely efficient dell computer. I think I could barely hit 30 fps with no dedicated graphics card.

This game is still one of my favorite games to play to this day

It’s always when I fly solo at work suddenly everything decides to break and I’m needed across multiple locations 😵‍💫

Still impressed the detail that went into this scene. It’s amazing. Need a continuation of this series or a reboot or something

Onimisha was my favorite hack and slash growing up. I never understood the Issen but now that I’m older I’m gonna have to work on my timings

My wife showed me GRIS and I loaded it up. The music and beauty made me tear up at the beginning. I need to pick it back up.

Wife is playing NEVA and I have seen snippets and it looks just as amazing

The experiences gaming has brought us is amazing.

Journey is when I started to learn to appreciate games as an art form.

I’m so glad you got to experience it, GRIS and NEVA are on my list to play since they seem to play like Journey in the same idea

I should be doing something productive like practicing writing or reading.

Instead I spent the day rewatching NCIS and getting my thumb back to trying to play games.

…whoops 😅

Time to find hard boiled detective movies and stories to go through. 🕵️

Note to self: Remember that even though some characters are just for stage dressing, make those characters interesting because they form the base for all the rest of the characters to rest on. Just like the scenery does. - Wrtr #amwriting Keep Writing. #author #writing #writer ~ #authorsky

I first played Journey on PS3 back when it came out. Found it by accident and decided to pick it up on a whim.

It was the first game to move me to tears with nothing but the journey and friends I made along the way.

I wish I could recapture that.

You must learn to be three people at once: writer, character, and reader. - Nancy Kress ~ Background photo shows a closeup of a lake while it's raining, the rain drops causing ripples and bends on the top of the water.

Writing is an act of rebellion.
Writing is an act of creation.
Writing is an act of salvation.
Writing is an act of exploration.
Writing is an act of emotion.
Writing is an act of confession.
Writing is an act of speculation.
Writing is an act of reflection.
Keep writing.

The hardest part for a lot of jobs was the allocation of hours for me. I hated a company’s excuse that they only had so many hours to give

To clarify my tastes:

Dark Souls
Alan Wake
Hannibal
Zero Escape
The Night House
Heavy Rain
Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy)
The Sinking City
Call of Cthulhu
Sherlock Holmes

Sadly I wasn’t much of a reader growing up so my impressions are games and shows mainly

I want to support authors because I’m trying to publish at least one book in my life and need to study the craft and learn.

I have sliced my thumb and can’t play games seriously for a while

I need books to read. Dark fantasy, psychological thriller, hard boiled detective. Big or small authors, ebook preferred but I can do physical.

What do you recommend? Authors self-promote encouraged.

11 years ago I reconnected with my best friend in the whole wide world. We picked up like nothing ever happened.

Now we’re married, own a home, have nearly no fights other than what to watch for the night.

To many more years of bliss and happiness 💖
