The whole time watching Wrath of Khan I was thinking, “The Motion Picture is crazy underrated, I don’t see why this is so much better,” and then I hit the last few scenes. Even knowing what was coming, I cried. TMP still underrated but okay Wrath of Khan good.
My pet peeve is the spoon thing. First time I heard it I asked so many variations of “but why would that be the metaphor” that my friend had to change the subject. It’s impossible for me to imagine finding it helpful.
It’s a good movie! Spock gets so many gorgeous lines and moments too. He was always full of incredible aphorisms but you really feel him as a newly introspective version of himself in that one

Honestly as an outsider to the genre it is wild to think about playing any RPG without great confidence I will love it. Like it maybe doesn’t seem this way from the inside but that’s just a crazy amount of time compared to a movie or album or even a sizable portion of the books that interest me
