seeing a lot of "who gave the Pope the authority over the church?!" takes from accounts with the cross in their name on Twitter is so funny.

Comment on a Tool video:

"The only band with a Lead drummer and a Rhythm vocalist"

I'm giggling because it's a flawless description

Yeah it’s a packaging masterclass. I love mine. Had it ~2.5 years now. I doubt there is a better bike for urban riding than the CE04. Not at any price

Also despite having spent about two full weeks with a C400X previously I have never felt comfortable going through turns at speed on it.

I’m not sure why exactly but it might be the short wheelbase.

CE04 is a long boi… IIRC longer than an R1250GS. #motosky

The typical scooter CVT in the C400X means the throttle feels disconnected a lot of the time.

CE04 throttle (unless you turn off regen) feels and sounds connected all the time like a bike with a traditional gearbox does. The pitch of the electric motor whine tells you your speed. #motosky

Anyway I have a C400X petrol scooter loan for the day. Ugh.

My feelings about this bike haven’t changed. Nauseatingly inferior in ~every way possible to the CE04. #motosky

BMW CE04 rear wheel assembly, showing a vulnerable indicator stalk protruding to one side of the license plate at around typical adult human knee height.

BMW CE04 rear wheel assembly, showing a vulnerable indicator stalk protruding to one side of the license plate at around typical adult human knee height.

My CE04 is in the shop today getting a rear indicator replaced.

Common problem on these bikes as they stick out a bit and are also below knee height and thus pedestrians walk into them all the time.

You’re talking about a guy named Kyle who started a business and thought “King Kyle” was a great name

Surely there is no greater humiliation bigger than actually being Kyle Sandilands?

Looking thru old photos for something and, as so often the case, found something else instead.

UNVAILED. Kate Carnell should be ashamed.

Not a farmer but my mum’s family tree mostly was/is. I don’t recall *any of them ever* needing or owning giant USA-style wankpanzers.

Typically bikes/quadbikes and a single-cab Hilux for farm, & a Landcruiser for family.

One farm had an Argo 6x6 amphibious vehicle (rad!) because occasional floods.

After $6B data center plan, Festus voters oust every incumbent council member A week after a controversial vote to approve rules for a CRG Clayco data center, anti-data center candidates ousted half of the Festus City Council.

"The promise of a political reckoning made by residents opposed to a $6 billion data center proposal in Festus came true Tuesday, as four city council members lost their reelection bids."

Ron Jeremy could do it with his full ribcage intact. I believe there’s genuine footage out there but I wouldn’t advise looking for it 😬

Pretty rare to meet a 3.5mm (or 1/8” I guess?) audio jack type that I’ve never seen before. Anyone recognize it?

This example is on a very old Pittsburgh Modular VILFO module. I have two VILFO revisions here. This is the earlier one. The later revision has what looks like Kobiconn jacks #eurorack

Sketchy Labs DS-3100 Fully Polyphonic Synthesizer, Part 1: The Beast YouTube video by Doc Sketchy

Madness. Glorious madness. Dr. Dixon has DIYed a 48-voice analog polysynth inspired by (but not a clone of) Korg's PS-3100 from the 1970s, and it sounds *fantastic*

All home-etched PCBs from layouts created with the drawing tools in an old version of Microsoft Excel

Could you say no to this cat?

Willie is generally super gentle, too #cats
