I'm watching "Margo's Got Money Troubles" streaming on Apple TV
An aspiring writer becomes a single mother. To make money, she opens an account on OnlyFans. Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman.
I like it a lot.

Morning Michael. My top selection is Your Friends and Neighbours on Apple. Pitch black satire of the American suburban dream and the emptiness of that life. John Hamm stars and really has the charisma to carry off both the humour and cynicism. Just about to start Series 2.

For me the ultimate bush sound :
#Yellowbilled #Hornbill
Sound on!

This week on Disney+ I've been watching Meutres ร (and รux, En, Sur, and Dans) a variety of French destinations.
They're not listed as a series, so it's like trying to find coins fallen down the cracks of a sofa.
I started with L'รle De Rรฉ cos I like their salt.

Poppy the tuxedo cat pulling a face. Sheโs sat on some bricks in front of some lavender.
Poppy wasnโt impressed by them ๐
Thought I was going to get a cute picture of her in good light just now but she just pulled a face at me!
Eeek! ๐ฏ
I do too, Cat.
I guess the payback is that you get to read authors you like (or find you can't bear) before anyone else does.
I knew it! I just knew it! ๐๐
I really don't do labels like "millennial" (I never know what they mean) but I have to wonder if this writer ever came across him before penning this?
They need a good long induction into the Jukebox if you ask me!
You're welcome.
Some months are as dry as a bone; others you might find something right up your street.
I have a nagging suspicion that @robmcminn.uk also uses NetGalley.
I was thinking about books with two authors and suddenly wondered if you'd come across www.netgalley.com?
You choose the books you fancy and get an advanced reader copy (ARC) for free in exchange for an honest review.
Kitsch?
Kitsch???
'Slick, suave and a little sexy': Herb Alpert - the unlikely kitsch 1960s act that dominated the US charts
choppy 5C swim - Easterly wind
Two large grey birds (totally at ease because their crest is down) perching close together in a tree with bright green leaves.
It was the most magical thing about the lockdowns. Venturing forth to shop, no traffic to drown it out, and and the birds knew how rare it was to be heard for once. They rejoiced.
Unheard of in London before or since.
Thank you, Cal.
Very tempted to do a Jukebox about songs you sing to your pets with adequately adjusted lyrics. ๐ธ๐
Fingers crossed! ๐ค
Just tidied out my baking cupboard (& binned 2/3 of it!!) First Prize goes to a box of Maggi โGelรฉe au Madereโโ! I must have procured it in France ( itโs written in French!) back in the days of formal dinner parties! Best before 6.11.99
I adore birdsong. It's like you're waking up and you're actually human.

Is it wrong that I hope they all become hated individuals who never quite manage to get the next real big thing?
I never thought it did, Tim.
Titles are totally outside its bounds.
My understanding is that it protects whatever I have written word for word and, in that regard, whatever I choose to publish.
I could be wrong, though I'm pretty sure I'm not in terms of UK law.
Can I be paid UK teacher rates for my input, please?
I have a Cert. Ed. and am extremely fussy about whom I teach for free.
At present I don't think you (or my wife) need to worry about AI writing. But artists and photographers are already feeling the pinch. It's not that AI can do good art, but it can do the stuff that a lot of them do for a day job so they can spend their nights doing the good stuff. That's bad.
Forget Disney. I really don't understand why existing copyright law - which has served us so well - fails to serve us now.
Clearly this is my mistake; I AM sure you will know better.
Again, thank you for responding. The easy option was not to. ๐
The real problem for AI is that nobody wants it or needs it.
No new technology in the past 50 years (home video recorders, the internet, smart phones) has had to strive so hard to look appealing. Everybody "got" the advantages they offered immediately.
AI? Not so much. What a huge waste of money!
