This week, PEC gave a testimony before the House Energy Committee regarding Geothermal Energy Development. HB 2076 would allow PA to develop geothermal resources, while also protecting the environment and communities against unwarranted impacts.

PEC applauds the PA House for passing the first major bill addressing energy usage by data centers and its impact on consumers. Among other key provisions we advocated, it requires data centers to procure electricity from new, clean, firm generation sources.
