Nobody who is actually brilliant wpuld ever say that. Or most likely even think it of themselves because the smarter someone is, the more self aware they ate of their own short comings. Only extraordinarily stupid people gloat about being brilliant

This idiot doesnt even know how elections work. It wasn't a mail in ballot drop, the high population areas that strongly go dem take longer to count than the sparsely populated red areas that report early. And yes, heavy dem areas were indeed heavily dem while the final tally was 51-49 or something

Did you watch that game last night? He was awful. Had 9 turnovers. Nobody in Phoenix is sad he's gone. And nobody in Houston looks particularly happy he's there. Great, great player but that dude has been a franchise cancer since his last year in GS

To be fair, the Celtics know how to build an functioning roster. I'm not sure what he's supposed to do with this and I lean a bit in the other direction, winning 50+ games with a roster this fundamentally flawed that revolves around the preeminent chemistry killer in the league in a minor miracle

So does everyone else.

Is KD their best player? He's their best scorer but also ball stopping iso heavy, and this is like year 5 or 6 across 3 different teams of KD team chemistry killer. Think Milwaukee would take kd back in a giannis trade?

I don't understand why they made no effort to get a guard at some point this year.

Their offense last year was super home run dependent but they hit a ton of them so it worked out. It still is, but they're way down this year. They're on pace to hit 80+ less homers than they did last year. That woulda dropped them from 3rd in the league where they finished all the way down to 26th

Somewhat. Personally, I never much cared for tv news broadcasts. They don't have a captive audience anymore. The problem is so many people replaced it with validation for what they want to believe. And internet algorithms just reinforce that. You don't get your beliefs challenged unless you want to

There might be something to doing a clinical study on why people behave so reverently toward a dude who is objectively a massive piece of shit and always has been.

I think Detroit lost 10 straight last year and still won a playoff series, damn near 2, so its not impossible, just highly unlikely. And it was only a couple years ago the Mets were the worst team in the league in late May but ended up making a run all the way to the NLCS.

1 day ago 1 0 0 0

Saw yesterday no team has ever lost 12 in a row at any point in a season and made the playoffs. Its super early, but the NL looks deeper than I anticipated, certainly better than last year, so they might dig a hole too deep to make any kinda run feasible, even with the wild card spots

I'm surprised anybody is surprised. After the first few off-season moves, I thought it was pretty obvious their ceiling was gonna be mediocre. I wouldn't have bet on losing 12 in a row at any point, but I'm not shocked they're struggling as much as I am that anyone thought they wouldn't

Further, if Israel was indeed using our support against us; our weapons, our money, our intel and aid; to manipulate our elections, in this case to help elevate trump and undermine dems, Israel isn't a U.S. ally, they're a national security problem.

If what you're saying is true, Biden didn't push back on netanyahu and Harris wouldn't break from it over electoral fears, that's evidence that generation/lineage of Dem needs to be put out to pasture. She gained nothing and lost crucial votes not doing it, and the right shits on dems no matter what

Kinda poor phrasing there. KC should prob save the bumps for the damn hitters. They need something

I don't know, I feel like the central could get multiple teams and the east might be just Atlanta. There's 8 teams in the central and west better than anyone in the east outside atlanta

Why the hell was it anything close to 96% to begin with? That was way, way over-rating what they're trotting out there. I'd have had them 50/50 at best, and probably lower. Given how they've looked so far, even 30% seems ambitious

You'd have to reminisce about that on a tv show because that hasn't existed in real life since maybe Jimmy Carter.

Working for trump is never a smart move. He eventually destroys everyone around him.

1 day ago 1 0 0 0

I didn't realize he was doing that too. Yeah, I'm with you on this one. He didn't really care about trump's fuckery, just didn't want his name attached to it. He can't do anything about the chair but willingly giving trump another board member burns any goodwill I had toward him

1 day ago 0 0 0 0

Who cares what prior chairs did? This isn't business as usual. He steps down from the board, that's another spot for trump to fill with a sycophant. If he actually gaf about trump abusing the fed, he wouldn't do that. It just makes it look like he only cared about himself and his reputation

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

Sure but his term as chairman is up. There's no circumstance for him to stay in that position unless trump were to re nominate him. He does stay on the fed board though, I think, just not chair

Really? Moving to the center hasn't won dems a single presidential election since maybe 1996, and that's debatable because Dole waa a dead fish candidate who had a huge chunk of votes siphoned off by Perot. It has, however, lost them several in that timeframe, including twice to trump

They better learn fast that shit don't play anymore. We've got normie libs out here now yelling fuck ice and demanding abolish and prosecute. That's the entry point to whether you're serious or part of the problem. They aren't gonna shut people up talking about tweaking around the margins this time

2 days ago 1 0 0 0

It was good right up until guardrails. We've been here before with dems, biggest protests ever to that point demanding something be done about cops, and they shove Mr. Crime bill on us, tossing in some lip service about reform and didn't do a damn thing but give em more money.

2 days ago 4 0 2 0

So you still don't get it huh? Weak sauce BS like better training and guardrails aren't going to cut it. Destroyed and every last one of them prosecuted to the fullest extent possible is the only acceptable answer.

Its going to satisfying to watch this Harbaugh thing be a disaster. I feel for giants fans, but I have no clue why talking heads glaze that dude so much. Baltimore shoulda fired him 6 or 7 years ago. And he had a compliant media in B'more. His back stabbing BS won't play in NY once things get tough

If their job is to arrest disabled vets peacefully protesting, that sounds like some folks I'd be much more thankful to see on the unemployment line.
