The Bengals may not have a first round draft pick anymore, but Joe Goodberry and I will still be streaming day 1 AND day 2 of the draft this year!
All of round 1, and day 2 until the 3rd round pick at least
Joe might get drunk, who knows tbh

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is such a great movie
AND it involves some of my favorite television creators: Severance (Stiller, Scott, Ólafsson) and Steven Conrad (Patriot, DTF St. Louis)
After Patriot and DTF St. Louis revisiting Walter Mitty makes his distinctive style very noticeable and enjoyable
Correlation between any individual test and NFL success for most positions is relatively tenuous in the first place
We've followed KLP's line of thinking here: if they qualify, they qualify. We have played with it in the past though and found minimal differences.
All sorts of things! Joe and I have old streams of watching guys. We'll talk about how well we think they understand what's going on (being in the right place) and how fast/violent they are, or certain technical aspects of their roles. All factors!
Yeah that'll be next Monday night!
For example data really bumps Thieneman up to the top of the board.
But by pure film grades, we've got a more "normal" ranking at the top -
Love
Downs
Bain
Styles
McCoy
Delane
Bailey
One BIG thing to note if this is your first time seeing this sheet:
The scores are gonna look weird for some players. That could be because they have great data boosting them up (or down). Film is the heaviest weight in our score formula.
But scores don't necessarily = rankings here.
You'll find athletic testing, production data, PFF data, consensus rankings, 30 visit tracking, and film grades all in one place
Possible due to Herculean efforts from Joe, Mike Santagata, Max Toscano, Parker Blake, Neal Angleberger, Andy Hafenbreck, Dean Meritt, and Kevin Jacobson
Years ago, I started working with Joe Goodberry on a draft doc with as much predictive data as we could find as guardrails for the film at the center of it all
Tons of amazing draft info in this spreadsheet
Feel free to ask questions!
Here's the 2026 edition docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
Credit to Max for knowing his name! I only knew about him because Max did.
I am not good at remembering to post here

Curious about what Jonathan Allen brings to the table? Here's my chat with Locked On Vikings' @lukebraunnfl.bsky.social, noted film grinder, where we dig into it!

go on
besides the 2024 regular season i guess
things have really gone downhill in the post-rascati era eh
Cromulent is a good word!

Joe Burrow threw some real pinpoint passes yesterday, this one maybe the most forgotten of them all
Got distracted talking about money down playcalls. Probably could spend more time on the TE issue but we have also talked about it before!
As a 3rd party observer it is hard to do passing offense when you feel like you have to help your tackles every play and also don't have receivers who can uncover
The NFL has, practically speaking, infinite resources to augment their officiating processes to be more accurate.
They barely try.
Wonder if the NFL actually enjoys their inconsistent officiating. People obviously haven't stopped watching, and it generates more conversation around their brand. Perverse incentive?
Allen acts a bunch now but that’s a blatant penalty on Queen. He launches at Allen after Allen slides. Wild
great word
The Bengals are making a BIG addition to the offensive line room. @jakeliscow.bsky.social and I react to the Dalton Risner signing, re-grade the Bengals' offseason and much more!!

How about Isaiah Williams for Logan Brown instead
