Happy Valentine's Day 2025 to you all!

As the exodus from Facebook and X/Twitter seems to be accelerating, I'm playing with OpenVibe, posting to BlueSky, Mastadon, Threads, and Nostr simultaneously.
Waikiki Beach for Christmas and New years was delightfully refreshing. We can so totally handle "endless summer"!
While the pandemic isn't over, my gap in international travel is over! 10 days in London were soul-reinflating! I love the casual antiquity of an old city, coming from a place where urbanity started in 1849.
@davidjweinstein.bsky.social here I am! Mickey
My other car is my neighborhood aircraft carrier, seen this morning just after zero dark thirty.
Still life with my neighbor ducks.
Elevators chime at every floor? Nobody told Thor!
Lake Michigan is cold!
After a week of being a surprisingly independent condo kitty here in #GrandRapidsMi, the cuddles returned last night. It was quite the party. :-)
Whoops, four images maximum (these days). I'll do some follow-ups...
No AfrikaBurn mentions or images on BlueSky? No longer! The Tankwa Karoo is an incredible location, the people self-reliant and incandescently friendly, and the vibe very much like burning Man 1996. The AfrikaBurn Rangers were superlative, peerless, with so much love!
Garbage (at the Concord Pavilion) was wonderful, as was Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Unexpectedly delightful. Thank you, SO.
On Bourdain Day we ventured out to try something new at a just-opened local family restaurant. Also watched some Tony. Happy for the man, sad for all the stories untold. If you're struggling PLEASE ask for help!
Of course Thor has an attitude, as every cat should.
My Jeep, the "Bacon Sparkle Pony", got a tiny hole in its exhaust system fixed. She runs quieter and better. 3 minutes of welding well worth the effort.
Quality time with Charcoal, my neighbor. He can be quite sweet, and has much more personality that I ever thought a duck capable of having.
Why'd you delete your skeets?
90210, baby!
Thor (Instagram where.thor.goes) has an attitude.
My #Jeep #winch looks good even if friends tossed the controls.:-/
I'm told "you're running a hawse fairlead with a steel cable, which is a no-no. You'll want to install a roller fairlead for that steel cable."
This is how the winch arrived 15 years ago. Now I've got some new things to learn...
