i can tell I've been doing well when i easily wake without any alarm and don't react to light like max schreck

idk how universal this is, but for me *everything* is downstream from sleep quality

as a metric, sleep quality is the single best indicator how well im doing - my exercise levels, mood, musical output(etc) are all fantastic when i just get a regular ~7hrs*

when i don't it seems like months of *nothing* happen
