I'm not so sure about that. Sarah huckabuck passed legislation back in 2018 if I remember correctly. Anywho they made it illegal for foreign investors to own land there. Hawaii did the same thing after the wildfires.

And the water, trees, minerals and other natural resources.

The fact that foreign nationals can buy makes this absolutely a national security concern.
