It is great fun as, though it's so formulaic, it's enjoyable watching the good guy exact the revenge of the righteous every bloody time. :) The world is a dumpster fire of suck, but at least he's giving us a modicum of hope that heroes still exist.
It's not that they love him, they instinctively fear him and their survival mode kicks in hoping that hugging him will calm him down so he won't kill them. Women learn this from an early age.
Not to mention it would disenfranchise millions of US citizens living abroad, like me, who pay taxes and vote in every election. I will be very unwilling to fly home just to vote, but I might just to show the finger to this fascist regime.

US/UK sort married to a Finn living in Finland...Sisu 1 was a fun romp, Sisu 2 is a personal vendetta of the Karelians. It's party hilarious, partly 'fuck yeah', and partly sob-worthy at the end if you know the history of the Winter War. It's a terrific movie. Totes recommend it to you and Bertie.
