@who.int staff residence in Deir al Balah was attacked 3 times today as well as its main warehouse
2 WHO staff & 2 family members were detained. 3 were later released, while one staff remains in detention.
WHO demands the immediate release of the detained staff & protection of all its staff. #Gaza
WHO condemns in the strongest terms the attacks on a building housing WHO staff in Deir al Balah in #Gaza, the mistreatment of those sheltering there, and the destruction of its main warehouse.

A truly historic evening at the #WHA78: the #PandemicAccord resolution was approved in Committee A with 124 in favour, 0 against and 11 abstentions.
The final step: adoption in plenary tomorrow morning.

Proposals within the text include:
✅ Boosting global collaboration on prevention & preparedness
✅ Strengthening health systems & R&D worldwide
✅ Creating a fair system for pathogen access & benefit-sharing
✅ Building a skilled global health emergency workforce

Participants in the discussions are holding up their country names.
After over 3 years of negotiations, WHO Member States have finalized a draft #PandemicAccord to make the world safer from future pandemics.
The draft agreement will now be submitted to WHO’s Member States meeting at the #WHA78 for consideration and adoption.
