They will happily disembowel you. Wise to give them a wide berth.

Where are you going?

Rubbing salt into the wound (if indeed I am able to be wounded other than in the existential sense) is that it wasn’t even a “select all images with aardvarks” test, it was a “click the radio button” test, which we all know non-human organisms and machines are incapable of doing.

Just failed a web site's "Verify you are human" test.

Illegible scrawl that some idiot forced me to provide on a web site as a "signature" and that looks completely different from the illegible scrawl I actually use as a signature if I have a proper writing device. I usually just do an "ID" or an "X" on such online forms these days because come on.

Before you get excited, web site hacker trying to harvest a signature I had to provide using my mouse in this Year of our Lord 2026 where we actually have secure technology designed and fit for the purpose of electronic signatures: this does not resemble my real signature at all.

Just said to someone, "Today's news is tomorrow's fish and chips wrapper" and then realised (a) that has not been literally true for years, and (b) most people will have no idea what I'm talking about (probably as per usual).

Pictures of “Sassy Apples,” with Google AI text:

Sassy™ apples are a new, premium variety known for a bold, bright red color, conical shape, and a satisfyngly crunchy, sweet-tart flavor profile. Developed in New Zealand and now grown in Australia, they are described as a modern alternative to Gala, offering high heat tolerance and long-lasting crispness.

I’m not quite sure what “satisfyngly” means and hope to find out soon. Anyway they look nice and had a very good sound when I did my routine apple toss test for freshness.

I bought some of these at the local supermarket yesterday but they didn’t have the annoying little identifier stickers on them.

Checkout lady: Are these sassy apples?
Me: Well to be fair I haven’t heard them say anything yet.

K-M curves that never plateau always make me wonder if the treatment has simply shifted the curve to the right. If that is the case then the next question should be whether sequential monotherapy would give the same outcome, perhaps with less toxicity than combo up front. #GU26

Wisdom at #GU26:
* Mack Roach: sometimes people have bad outcomes even though you did the “right” thing.
* Shang Zhao: we should not use the fact that some people will do badly to justify using the most aggressive approach.
* Shahneen Sandhu: always consider patient preferences.
