I don't know what's worse.. finding out people are using genAI, or finding out that the genAI they're using is so UTTERLY unnecessary and useless.
I deleted Facebook and Instagram because of AI. I left a discord server because of AI. I block people that admit to using it. Etc. I can only do so much, but if I begin to curb my tolerance even a little, I feel that I just become a part of the problem.
It's getting harder and harder. My time on Bluesky is coming to an end because of it. Eventually, I'll be the old man on a porch yelling at the clouds, but so be it.. because those clouds will be black and full of death.
It's clear that even 'ethical' people just seem to have no problem using genAI if it happens to be convenient for them. I won't be a part of it.

Tomorrow I'll be starting on the official first full 'Into the Wreck-Age' comic. Full page, full color adventures of 5 families on the great Wreck Beach, Vancouver, Canada. One of the greatest North American Clothing Optional beaches, especially since it isn't in Trumpland.
Not for me it isn't. Anything green that microcuts causes me extreme itching.
All I can think about looking at this is how damn itchy I'd be for days lying in the grass like that.
The issue isn't the TECHNICAL side, it is the side that causes humans to begin to rely too much on data to be accurate and begin losing the ability to recognize flaws or mistakes IN that data to begin with. We are already seeing this in the medical field in many areas.
Except even in cases like this, inherent training biases exist that AI development is either outright ignoring, or haven't been properly addressed yet.
I want to be clear about this. I do not believe there is ANY ETHICAL USE OF AI. It is all trained on stolen data. Period.

Even long time naturists can still feel those vulnerabilities and insecurities come up even in naturist spaces, when people in those spaces start believing that *everyone* must feel as free and uninhibited as they do. Naturists still bring their own biases and bigotry into naturist spaces
I understand that they are speaking of physical 'flaws', but the physical alone is not the issue. The insecurities and vulnerabilities we feel about these 'flaws' are still an emotional and mental thing. These things absolutely do not automatically disappear when we undress around other naked folk
ARGH! NO! STOP! Shedding clothing ISN'T DISPLAYING VULNERABILITIES AND INSECURITIES. These exist INSIDE YOU, not outside you. We carry these no matter what our state of dress, and while undressing CAN help MANY people BEGIN to overcome certain insecurities and vulnerabilities, it's NOT AN EQUALIZER
