Drivers such as Oliver Bearman were able to pit during the lap 18 VSC and gain the reduced pit loss that Ferrari had been hoping to exploit. From the data available it does not appear Ferrari made an incorrect call here. They simply never had a realistic opportunity to pit once the VSC was deployed
