And you definitely got that way more than me (Sorry! πŸ˜…)
I super don't envy folks creating for YouTube, especially now with how parasocial stuff can be.

Went to a yarn festival. Smooshed yarn, caught up with lovely knitty folk, and chilled out in the sun with my pals. Took zero pictures inside, or notes for podcast content.
Never been happier to have given up knitting content creation. It was fun back in the day, but exhausting. And expensive.

Some kind soul has been telling folk at work my name is "Chia". They're apparently so confident and persuasive about it that I've had chats today with several people who've known me for 5+ years randomly start pronouncing my name like that. So that's fun. πŸ™„

Well this seems conductive to getting shit done today.
(She's already shoved the laptop off my knee twice, and grumbled at me for replying to an email)

Gutted we can't go out and enjoy a rare sunny day in the park. Settling instead for naps, resting the cut toebean, roasting a chicken for the fuzzy invalid, and me finally getting to crack the spine on some new books.

Miraculously survived the vet visit and now home for dinner and antibiotics. Very grateful our vet understands Freya's fear of them and was so good with her.
And now we sleep.

So frustrating. She was playing with another dog - really nicely and one that in the past she would have been reactive towards so big progress there - and they both ran into a bit of grass that had hidden glass shards. Special place in hell for the idiots dropping glass bottles everywhere I swear.

My vet-phobic dog cut her paw in the park this afternoon and the vet understandably wants us to bring her in for a look. It'll probs need a bandage. Had to happen *just* as we're in the middle of trying to muzzle-train her for vet visits. 😭

First Bonfire Night in the (now not so) new house. The dog formerly not bothered about fireworks is now barking every time some fuckwit in the area sets off a rocket. (Every 2-3 mins)
Remind me why members of the public "need" to purchase small explosives and set them off in built up areas. πŸ™„

The dog split my nose open with her forehead about 20 mins ago. I'm totally fine but wish she'd chosen a week when my intern wasn't starting and when we didn't have an in person open day at work. Like at least give me a purple bloody snoot on a WFH no meetings week.

Took the fuzzy gremlin to work.
Had a splendid time posing in our office's garden and confusing everyone used to seeing a colleague's Italian Greyhound dashing about amongst the leaves.

Finally washed and blocked my Nyx sweater (pattern by The Creabea/Rebecca Clow) and it's my new fave thing to wear.
It's oversized, it's fuzzy, and it was just as fun to knit this version as it was the first one I made last year. 🧢

One day of annual leave down and I already feel so rested that I've cast on my mum's Christmas present (Kintra sweater). 🧢🎁
Also feeling pretty smug as I'm finally using up some minis that have been in my stash for 4 years.

Slow progress on the sweater but watching the bulk of Apple Cider Vinegar has definitely helped.
I said when I started this I was excited for the sleeves. I lied. Learning how to tension bouclΓ© put me off an entire chart back. It'll be worth it, but I can already hear myself cursing Past Cia.

Nothing like a 3am doomscroll after being woken up from a dream about work by the dog barking in her sleep.
Dog gets to resume snoozing, I'm wide awake. So thrilled by this turn of events.
