Well this is just plain shitty, one of the last Metal pubs left near me, and a great gig venue closing down thanks to the Stonegate Pub Co. Been going there for over 25 years and it's always a great night, and a safe space.

RIP Ye Olde Foundry in Dudley.

When I moved to Dudley I didn’t really know anyone, apart from work mates and the missus’ family. I wasn’t part of the local music scene at all. I got introduced to the Foundry by a customer when I was working at Maplin, and I always loved it there since. So many memories, so many people, and so many great bands. The Foundry helped me find friends, get back into sound engineering, and get me out of my bloody shell. I haven’t been as much as I used to over the last 2–3 years, but I still hold it really close to my heart. It’s genuinely sad to see it go out like this. Here’s a little petition, even if you’re not a fan, sign it for me.
