I do apologize if I come off as vitriolic, this is something I heavily oppose seeing as I don't want to be treated like a child and frankly there are far better ways of handling this that businesses and governments are too fucking lazy to implement.
Not to mention that Discord had a massive data breach a couple months ago, and are still for some braindead reason choosing to go ahead with this update even though they have already atomized any chance of trust with its users when it comes to personal information like IDs.
Discord's age verification would mark any unverified accounts as teens, which can and will backfire as it's basically locking in the kids with predators, not to mention one of the companies they use for verification (Persona) is backed by fucking Palantir.
