He was very intrigued and asked questions. First one: “Does he have a name”?
“Yes! Echo!”
Goes and gets my warning from his car, comes back.
“So is it like an alternate personality orrrr?”
Yesss lemme tell you, this man knew all the right questions. Hands down best authority interaction ever.

So yesterday during my 6.5 hour drive home after TFF, I got pulled over for going a little too fast. 30 minutes from my house, was a little too eager.
However, the TX state trooper inquired where I was coming from. I replied “convention”.
“What kind?”
I reached in my back seat and pulled out Echo.

Okie eating a treat from a dog bowl labeled “Sparky” and transforming into a quadrupedal dog

Dog treats are not a good study snack. Now I don’t have opposable thumbs. And that homework is looking a lot more edible…

I destroyed my brand new radiator while trying to get this in. RIP :,(

Finally squeezed the D16Z6 into the 1st gen CRX. I gotta say, it just feels right giving this car VTEC. Now I have to convert it to the hydraulic transmission.

Ok so if you’ve been following my car stuff, I’ve taken like 4 different directions for my 91 civic hatchback and 86 crx si projects. Yesterday, I found an absolute mythical fb marketplace deal. D16A6 motor, with stock appearance. $400. I’m still in awe. I’ll do a compression test soon!

Immaculate mechanical coyote

If the car runs well enough, I will attempt to drive it to TFF. It is a 6 hour journey. I’ve completed that trip twice with the 91 red civic.

Me last night at 4 AM scouring through my service manual dissecting the reason I snapped a rod bolt during installation. (I mistakenly applied 36ft•lbs instead of 20ft•lbs) Read too fast :)
