Players are willing to slow combat down a little in order to gain little advantages, but when you add up those little interruptions play can get pretty slow

I spent a good portion of my teens and early 20s desperately lonely and terminally online. And when you get isolated, it is so hard to start rebuilding connections with people. So let me share with you a speedrun stat to ending digital isolation: start doing local community theater.

Dont get me wrong, I love how accessible 5e is especially from the DM's seat (despite the lack of tools for DMs baked into the system it really is a lot simpler to run!)

That said, the 2024 books are making me pine for a bit of 3E's complexity. Im looking forward to hearing about your experiences!

Meme. Painting of a medieval abbot. He's standing and holding a little red book, which is open in his hand. He has a long white beard, and the hair on the side of his head sweeps over his ears like the tide sweeps over a sandbar. He is bald, and there is a fine patina of light on dancing across his head. He is wearing a dark grey robe, with the hood thrown back, and next to him is the staff of his office. Behind is head is a yellow halo, so you know he's esp. holy.

He is looking down towards the book, but not actually at it. It looks like he was reading, but got distracted by something on the floor a little in front of him. His expression is calm, so it's not anything wild like a group of rabbits ritualistically sacrificing a sparrow. More like he's seen a piece of cheese, and the abbot can't quite recall when last he had cheese. Later, idly, he'll pick it up and realize that it's lint from his socks.

Meme text reads:
"I'm a medieval monk
Everything's about sex, really"

Lent begins this week. And if you're a medieval English abbot that means one thing: eel-rents!

At the start of Lent tenants all over England came to pay their yearly rent in eels. Hundreds of thousands of eels.

But how? Why?

Well...it's about sex & availability, you see. 1/7

Worm theology is the idea in Christian culture that in light of God's holiness and power an appropriate emotion is a humble view of self.[citation needed] The name may be attributed to a line in the Isaac Watts hymn Alas! and Did My Saviour Bleed (Pub 1707)[1] which says "Would he devote that sacred head for such a worm as I?" Furthermore, worm theology can be attributed to a recognition of the ugliness of sin, resulting in contrition.

God would still love you if you were a worm

N2 did a VB flavored gelato and hear me out it was not terrible! I am not sure how you achieve fizzy sorbet/gelato/icecream but something like lager, lemonade or ginger beer could be very exciting (or extremely terrible

That’s ok! Really sort of sealed the deal on “should I start these games completely fresh?” Shall report back if I discover the cause!

Also apologies that this has nothing to do with the video - I’ve loved learning about the colour palettes for stadium, can’t wait to play around with it for my next playthrough!

I fired up my Stadium 1 cart and found my save totally wiped! I thought only the gbc had save batteries and I tried to look into it but I can’t find a definitive answer why it happened and how to future proof stadium 2. I thought my teams were safe! Help me @tamahero.bsky.social you’re my only hope!

Astounds me that people play the main story instead of being rabid hoarders, not leaving the settlements in the top corner of the map and spending hours glitching together sanctuary - spectators begging me to play literally anything else because I make zero progress then press new game
