So he's sending grifter realtors with breathtaking conflicts of interest, and the only man in the world with negative charisma on the heels of his *3* epic epic international assbeatings in one week, to grapple with a panel of international relations PhDs over a war of choice he's losing.

Let me guess: More insider trades?

Ban flu vaccines until they surrender?

Issue more market pumps through @axios ?

I'm definitely in a place in life where I understand completely how crazy uncles happen.

I've always taken it as a mystical coincidence that you were my first pocket friend on the internet oh so many years ago.

To me, you are, always have been.

Oh, Rock, I know shit is totally off the rails when a bag of sunshine and kindness like you is losing your chill.

Running out of money.

Which also takes a lot of other companies down the drain with it when it fails.

Never forget, they're supposed to start paying Oracle $100b annually through 2030 in a little over 8 months. That's not going to happen.

VC/PE slimepit is gonna fight like hell, but it won't change the outcome.

She ought to bust in there and beat the living dogshit out of every Republican in that room with a crowbar.

Talk shit about me, I'm going headhunting the next time I see one of those pieces of shit on the House floor.

Worked out great in WWI. A modern serotype as deadly as that one would likely kill something above 70 million worldwide.

But, by all means, feel free to inject bleach and shine a UV light up your ass.

Christ, this is really the stupidest timeline. But it's a grifter's paradise, so we got that.

That's what the little girls on St John's Island thought, too.

They really want that merger to go through, gotta grease the skids with regime propaganda.

They only exist to tell Vanguard boomers happy stories about their money anyway.

Normal deployment now is scheduled from midnight Fri until 4pm Sunday, so there's time to rollback before Aus and Japan come online. A deployment may have 70 Jira stories, 85% regulatory.

Enterprise says no deployments before 8pm. We could maybe do 1-2 stories until PacRim comes online.

It's my job to keep the middle- and back-office systems that enable this working and compliant with fed and treasury regulatory rules.

In 24x7×365, I have no idea how we can fix shit or deploy new releases. A whole slug of 3rd party backend services like Broadridge, Omgeo, etc have to do the same.

President Pump calling in to resident CNBC Trump Uncle Joe Kernen this morning.

Count on rapid-fire bullshit designed to pump markets, along with some time to whine about how mistreated he is. Kernen will shed a tear on-air.

Dow +1000 at the open.

End-to-end pump, with maybe a little time at the end for him to whine to the crank Kernen about how terribly mistreated he's been.

+1000 Dow.

Well, and your review goes straight from your manager to a director. As I said, hill is really steep for an IC with no directs to move the needle.

All it takes is one mid review to lock you in place, and then it's hard to escape that gravity, or get out of a silo. So much depends on your manager.

Yeah, my coworkers were always the best thing about it. You could find plenty of truly brilliant people among the arrogant pricks and posers.

Shameful the way you had to crawl over your coworkers' corpses at review time. I remember writing those goddamn 30-page reviews, never knowing if it helped.

I'd made it to an L 65, and the hill just got too steep. Couldn't find a way to get to a 66, and it was up or out, 3 years. I opted out.

I heard it changed a lot in the years since I left. I left SQL Server about a year into Satya, in 2015. An IC with 20+ years, the hill gets steeper and steeper until you can't take your vacation and still meet your goals, and so on

I was coming in at 6:30 AM, leaving at 10 PM, and it wasn't enough.

We probably shouldn't tell everyone that data centers contain lots of copper, gold and palladium, and are very nearly unguarded, should we?
