Wonderful day yesterday in London. Although some of the examples left me cold in the Sony Award exhibition; there was also show stealing work by Zed Nelson, Todd Antony and of course: Joel Meyerowitz. And then there was his brilliant talk and book signing.

I would love to step in side fully. My grandfather worked at the London dry plate company when it was bought by Ilford. As a photographer and darkroom printer I would dearly love to come and see that family legacy with my own eyes.
Been a great couple of days—lots of positivity around my work and projects.
- Tomorrow’s ‘Almost in Focus’ podcast is already getting strong interest from the preview, online at 8.30 uk time
- The first batch of my book is nearly sold out. Really appreciate all the messages—more stock coming soon.
It was an enjoyable 2 weeks taking the opportunity to do something photographic for me everyday. Back to the day job now so I’m taking this target off myself so it doesn’t become a chore or a source of stress.

On the drive home we stopped a roadside cafe for breakfast. It was a step into the 1970s of design but with modern food quality. Amazing. Had to grab my camera and photograph some of the interior

Studio portraits of my daughter and python on @ilfordphoto.com SFX200 - chosen for its heightened red sensitivity to relate to the python’s infrared heat sensing pits.
In essence my plan for the next 2 weeks off work: a film a day keeps the doctor away.
Now that’s not to say I will rush through a roll of film every day - that would be expensive, but it is an intention to do something photographic every day.
Today: photographing my python with Ilford SFX
I was made aware about shipping issues on my website for my new book. Think I have things now resolved - sorry e-commerce is a new world for me! If problems persist please get in touch and we can do a back transfer or PayPal for your order

It was great to be part of the photography show yesterday. I was completely blown away away by the amount of interest in my talk - full house and people sitting on the floor along the side! Also Toby and I did lots of interviews for next podcast episode (coming Wednesday). Thanks if you came by!
Look, I'm just sayin' 👀
From L-R:
🩵 Sure, why not, I'm game for anything 🤷♀️
💙 Just in case I manage a spot of #FP4Party -ing

Also old prints, contact sheets and test strips are great when cut up and put into keyrings
Does anyone have suggestions of photographic/art book retailers that would maybe be interested in stocking my darkroom book?
