A manly hug between father and son. Bingo, the pungent aftershave effectively transferred to the Roarer’s clothes #TheArchers

They also live together so could the pungent aroma of Brian’s aftershave transfer to Ruari’s clothes possibly after a manly New Year’s Eve hug.

Totally agree. He’s covering for the Roarer who was noticeably angry when George came round to do the big apology. Also Brian has been more than irritable with Ruari recently….. it fits.
Saw the excellent and heartbreaking #Shadowlands at #TheAdelphi last night.
Stunning performances, including Timothy Watson.
Hearing the voice of Rob Tichner gave me quite the frisson. #TheArchers In the wild 😉
Saw it last night. Heartbreaking
So true
If you read the comments, it just reflects stereotypical anti woke daily mail readership. Not much nuance there. #TheArchers
Also Ruth’s very unsubtle threat that ‘people’ aka Archers might be unhappy with Esme giving George a job and a chance in effect

I just completely zone out when her bizarre voice comes to play. I’m so bored by her that I really can’t care how she must be the only person in the Village who has no idea about George’s history.
Presumably, transport for London will be reluctant to subsidise running buses in Essex 👍
Today’s Times.
Hooray 🎉👏👏👏👏
Oh yes I’d forgotten Foghorn
Also Tom and Helen aka Sausage boy and Hellqueen !
#TheArchers
Love the illustration. I remember they used to call the spawn of Hellin, Henry the Hoover and his grandparents Pol Pat and moany Tony.
And @Ambridgeonthecouch and @shambridge. Always a treat on a Sunday.
And SE7
Wonderful weren’t they. Sadly, I only seem to have kept one copy of their newsletter.
I was clearing up and found this from the archers anarchists winter 2011.
Very prescient regarding George. “ all the signs are that he could emerge it’s quite a nasty little brat.” They nailed it 15 years ago.

They took a very wicked slant on the rather anodyne output churned out by the BBC archers website at the time…. I started listening in 1995 so they were definitely around then and I would hope some of them have found their way here
Anyone remember archers anarchists? I think they were based in Henley and they were excellent. The excitement when the quarterly Newsletter came out.
Just zero chemistry between them.
Joy of missing out. I love it and I will also be having a virtual identity kit of your New Year’s Eve.
I had no idea. Books gave me hope as a child. Will definitely donate.
Wonderful to hear it again. We lost a genius in Victoria Wood.
Wonderful, particularly the lovely Simon Armriding battling over the WI boiler
So sad but at least he died in the place he loved
Ditto. Very European to have fish on Christmas Eve.
After the ‘hilarious’ turkey plucking debacle that’s two Grundys who now have head injuries. All we need is Emma falling out of a tree and we have a triumvirate of potential PTSD sufferers going on the rampage with George at the helm.
My happy Christmas prediction. Shall we put a wager on it?
