You could say I'm a master of a sort of verbal jiu-jitsu; whenever you are voicing a complaint, I masterfully redirect the conversation to my own complaints

It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.

What you need to understand is the vast gulf between:

People who see the rules as guidance informing them of what good behavior look like,

vs

People who see the rules as a starting point for figuring out exactly what they can get away with before someone intervenes.

By far the most common and dangerous logical fallacy is one I rarely hear mentioned, which is, "Everyone who disagrees with me has been brainwashed by propaganda."

The assumption, "informed, clear thinking will always lead to 100% agreement on my exact position" is EVERYWHERE.

My most uncharitable belief is that if you're chronically late to things, you're just a bad person.

And I mean I don't think it's possible to routinely be late to events/work/appointments *unless* you're just a selfish person with no concern for anyone else.

I often see big groups of young people downtown, packs of 6-8 friends together, and what I feel isn't so much envy at having missed out as it is curiosity about how they keep track of which one is which, like do they all have a mnemonic ("if the t-shirt is black, that's Zach")

Just want to point out that if you were having a full conversation with someone you knew and then suddenly they pulled off their face to reveal they were a total stranger in disguise, you would have a fucking heart attack and die
