Big Win for Gigwa India Delivery Drivers!
Platforms in India have rolled back the unsafe 10-minute delivery model after worker pressure. Riders say this is just the start. They are now demanding fair pay for every order, real safety protections, and a permanent system for collective dialogue.
In Delhi and Mumbai, toxic air shut down public works and schools but delivery workers were still forced to work. GIWA launched a strike demanding a pollution surcharge, masks, healthcare, and safety protections. The action disrupted deliveries by 30% and won major public support.

Our affiliate Acorn Coventry has stopped the eviction of member Abduobaiyda and his family.
Through collective action, they secured a private tenancy at the property, which means Abduobaiyda’s children can stay in their home and he has the accessible housing he needs.
