Look forward to discussing. Unfortunately, we've not asked any questions about gender identify/sexual orientation. I agree that the face of gun ownership is changing - somewhat less white, more women, etc. But, just shy of 50% of gun owners remain white men. Let's find a time to speeak.
3/ Surveys, as you know, are one way to do this.
2/ Indeed, the vast majority of guns purchased during the pandemic were bought by people who already owned them. The fact that state/federal agencies don't track gun purchases or collect information on gun purchasers means we should be especially careful in speculating about recent shifts.
1/ What's the evidence re LGBTQ gun purchases since the election? In 2020, NSSF claimed 40% of gun buyers were "new" based on a convenience sample of dealers. A careful empirical assessment found that claim to be false.
