Fox Render is a pretty decent solution for Houdini + Redshift. Their prices are relatively good and the customer support (Skype) has always been helpful and direct. For us the speed of work is worth the cost, and we try to build a farm allowance in to our bids in advance.

Sidefx web licensing can sometimes kick you out and not return your license to the pool. hkey lets you see who's pulling licences via r-click 'list users' but returns gibberish. To fix, File -> Preferences -> turn off 'Scrub User Names'. Now r-click, 'return license'. Thanks A.Pepe for finding this!
