Hmmm. I must have not posted? For my few friends on here and numerous strangers, I have gotten into a Masters in Applied Chemistry program. It’s incredible how I doubted I could for years when I hopped out of college and struggled, and then bam, acceptance.

People here in the US don’t have common sense and think comparing apples to oranges justifies their behaviors. Critical thinking has failed us so badly. I truly think a majority of the US is so stuck on one note things we can’t correct anything in a meaningful way.

Well… again, I should clarify I am fully in the camp of gun control and believe doctors are doing all they can. But the Johns Hopkins statistics was purely on malpractice deaths. The problem with the data is that it’s estimated, which this meme sensationalizes.

While this is… unfortunately true based on a Johns Hopkins statistical analysis, it doesn’t change that the deaths from gun violence are unnecessarily high for something we are aware of. Between homocides, suicides, and accidental gun wounds, it’s still too high. And people can’t be trusted with it.
