同国のスカラボリ連隊設立350周年(！)を記念したもので、同連隊にまつわる行進曲や信号ラッパ譜、スウェーデン全軍で用いられる起床・帰営譜、また作曲家レフグレンAlbert Löfgren(1872-1930)による交響作品等を、端正な演奏で楽しめる一枚です。

いくつかのアルバムを集めたコンピ盤ですが、シュテファン大佐と共に60年頃の同楽団を率い黄金期を築いた名楽長による演奏を楽しめる素晴らしいアルバムです！
ステレオ録音による《旧友》が特別に収録されているのも貴重で、この行進曲の録音の中でも5本の指に入る名演と思います。
