I wondered too, but actually I don’t think this is too odd, as players often seem to allow space for private conversations in the castle. It’s usually not so obvious as “let’s stand in front of this picture”, but it doesn’t always mean “we’re traitors”

With the Secret Traitor setup apparently ending so quickly, I feel like either:
1 - they decided early on that it wasn’t working for some reason
2 - there’s a twist coming in the next episode (eg we the viewer don’t get to see who it is, Claudia recruits another secret one, etc etc)
