My friend Kat's husband has cancer and has started a GoFundMe to help aide in keeping their family afloat. They have two young kids at home and a small farm to maintain and this diagnosis has really blindsided them. Any help you could provide would be SO appreciated. Thank you! gofund.me/c0480f63a

Check out the adorable Lego Robin earrings my Gangxiety Writing Crew sent me for my birthday (it got a little lost on the way). Love you Jerusha, @kialeep.bsky.social,
S. Kaeth, and Hannah Kates. Get yourself a writing group that loves you and gets you this much.
Spent Wednesday evening with the tremendously talented and well-deserving @maria_tureaud at a book signing and author conversation about her latest release This House Will Feed. Had a wonderful time at her book signing and dinner with her and my sister Megan.
If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.
The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:

They're investigating the victim's wife, the victim's friends, the mayor and the governor too, but no, they're not even going to glance in the direction of the murderer.

1) We need to support indie book publishers and self-publishers who are releasing LGBTQ books.
2) Keep buying ALL the LGBTQ books. Make sure these chicken-shit spineless publishers lose all the money for this decision.

A reminder: even amid the chaos and the horrors, the world still needs you. Your kindness. Your art. Every bit of good that you put into the world.
Please don’t forget this.
Editing should never feel like a kick to the shins. It’s supposed to be about lending a helping hand in realizing your true vision.
Well, with the right editor, it will be very nice editorial criticism. 😉
No spoilers!!! lol
However, editors are good for catching those things. We have a distance from the story and we are reading it straight through fresh, which is something the writer never gets to do. It comes out of the writer in increments and then when they reread, it’s a story they already know.
Guess who saw a cover proof for my short story collection Tales of the Dawn!!!! Just a wee sneak peak for you, friends! Full cover reveal soon to come!
