Love Herbie Nichols. Few recordings, but every one’s a gem.

Good morning, all. Happy Tuesday.
I hereby declare the Snocaps record a 2026 release even though I bought it and streamed it in 2025, because the record just came out this month and found its way into my hands today.

Hurricane Kyle also just sounds…I don’t know. No offense to all the wonderful Kyles out there.
Good morning, all. Celebrating 4/20 with a trip to my local brewery.
I always wear glasses. I’d feel naked without them. I’d feel blind, too.
Good morning, all. More yard stuff today probably.
I’ve worked in correctional and forensic mental health and hear that about everyday. I’m not fond of the term, but it’s common in these circles.
Is #Caturday still a thing?
Good morning, all. Storms have passed and it’s a lovely day to laze around with coffee. Will likely visit the local record shop at some point after the frenzy dies down on this Record Store Day. Happy Saturday.
I can hear that radio station’s promo playing in my brain.
I love it—nice to hear the Crutchfield sisters together again. Was one of my favorites from last year; however, I’m also counting it for ’26 since it was just streaming in ’25 and the record will be in my hands this year (mine hasn’t come yet).
I just can’t enjoy murdertainment.
Good morning, all. Here’s to Fridays and Saturdays. And what the hell, Sundays, too.
Heard that as a freshman in 1978 and it was earth shattering. In a good way.
Good morning, all. Good luck with the sale, Glenn. Happy Friday eve.
Such utter bullshit. There are more than enough human beings in the world—though I’m well aware of exactly which segment of humanity they feel is threatened. The Earth could stand to not reach “replacement level” for a decade or two.
Yes! Support your indies.
Good morning, all. Learned I am also moving offices. Gaining a window, but losing some treasured isolation.
He probably is, but that’s not saying much.
Really enjoyed it. Great record and memories. This is also a fun tribute album if you’re not familiar: americanlaundromatrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-trib...
Another fun piece! Was working in a record store when the film and soundtrack came out and of course we spun the record and quoted the movie endlessly. Still a favorite.
And thank you for soldiering on with IHTOV in its new iteration. It’s one of my favorite little corners of the internet.
His boss is gonna love this.
Band: I tried. I really did, largely based on recs from folks whose musical tastes I generally agree with. I just couldn’t get there. I did hear some things to like, but it just never jelled.
Bird: I like all birds, but fuck those “I’ll chase you and then crap wherever I want” assholes.
“Buttholeville” is still in regular rotation, usually with their cover of “State Trooper” mixed in. We always get “18 Wheels” one of the nights of Homecoming—along with a lot more. See you in Athens.
Good morning, all. Up and around with coffee and cat, ready to greet the long day.
Good morning, all. My earlier royale—too busy Mondaying to post until now. Hope everyone has a good week.
Great read. Jonathan’s a good dude—glad to see his name show up in IHTOV.
And unfortunately this often ramps up character attacks by the defense: She clearly gave consent by going back to his apartment, etc., etc. I get it’s the defense attorney’s job, but incapacitated/non-consent shouldn’t be such an easy target. It’s like questioning how she was dressed.
Good morning, all. No agenda so far.
