👇 This!
This is true, but above them should be the one man whose cowardice enabled all of this catastrophe: Senator Mitch McConnell.
Reckless cruelty isn’t strength.
Capitulation isn’t courage.
Cultish allegiance isn’t patriotism.
We used to know the difference.
The dumb son of a bitch swallowed Ayn Rand's cheap, self-serving philosophy hook, line, and stinker. He is a lying, sociopathic, narcissistic manipulative opportunist. And those are his better characteristics...
The depth of dishonor of the current POTUS, VP and minions has no bottom. A stain on their honor, their families, their party, their communities and our nation. What does it say about us that we elected a convicted felon with a lifetime record of dishonor, bankruptcies and failed relationships. sad!
Jon Hirshberg: “Complying with Project 2025, the Orange Psycho issued 31 orders eviscerating decades of life-saving clean air & water regulations and greenhouse gas reduction legislation. Now he & the MuskRat want to cut the EPA's budget by 65%. These actions only increase profits…”
And the billionaires wonder why so many of us despise them!

Molto bene! Bellissimo!
I recently prioritized finishing an old model over freaking out about the lunacy of President Trusk. It is the old and inaccurate Matchbox kit of HMS ARIADNE, an Abdiel-class fast minelayer. I painted mine as HMS APOLLO, in honor of my late building buddy cat Apollo. Not a good kit, but still fun!
Hello friends; I have been preoccupied of late with the unfolding disaster of American politics of hatred, revenge, chaos, and destruction. I need to take a break and clear my head! So, here is my recently finished MiniWings Beaver. It was CHALLENGING, but I really like it anyway!
The facts are, the ACA saved millions with pre-existing conditions and set standards for care.
But now, more than a decade later, with what we now know, it’s time to take the insurance companies out of the mix.
The subsidies they get are enormous. We don’t need them as middlemen.
Happy New Year to all of the great people here at BlueSky! To celebrate the incoming year, I would like to share a picture of my last model completed in '24: a 3-D printed 1/144 scale Junkers D.I wearing an authentic (!) 1918 color scheme. It was an obscure but historically important design!
Missing this beautiful soul already. It breaks my heart that the world is losing its humans like President Jimmy Carter whilst bad people stay and destroy everything without a single consequence.
Here is a recent photograph of an old pencil and ink drawing of the DH.2, that I drew back in 1997.
What a jewel! I have always liked the DH.2 as a feisty little bird that brave men took into the air to fight the "Fokker Scourge."
It turned out to be much more work than I had anticipated; another case of a model looking better in the box than on the workbench...
I like classic jets almost as much as I dig the Golden Age airplanes. Here is a favorite of mine: the Vought Crusader, a true masterpiece of the designer's art. Here is an early USN F-8C (Platz Models) and a much later Aeronavale F-8E(FN) gashapon kit.
It has been a busy week, and I am late at posting model pictures. Here is a project just finished on Saturday: "Five Famous Fillies," which includes those flown by Bud Anderson (Old Crow), Don Gentile (Shangri-la) and Eugenius Horbaczewski (RAF/315 Sqd), and a big friend. All 1/144 scale.
You are such a great spotter! The RE. 8 is Aussie 3 Squadron!
I enjoy BlueSky so much, I am happy to share my art here! I have a lifetime supply of prints of my work on archival paper. Feel free to DM me if you would like to know more about them. Here are four of them:
That F.1 is probably operated by one of the civilian companies that contract with the DOD to provide DACT (Dissimilar Aircraft Combat Training) services - much like Top Gun - to the various American air arms. Most of the pilots are former fighter pilots who know the tricks.
My poor old Shapeways FE2b:
You made a very handsome build of it anyway!
