I just want to live in a universe where I got to hear Jim Varney exclaim in disbelief, "Total bodily dismemberment?!?"

ERNEST SCARED STUPID movie poster
This is also how I found out ERNEST SCARED STUPID doesn't have a 4K release yet, so I guess we have to do it on @genrevision.com this October so someone will announce it.
Sad to hear and hope the future will be bright.
Fighting deadites in Amish Country? Thatβs EVIL DEAD CHURN
Wish this looked better than it does because the premise and main character concept are on point.
MICHAEL (2026) Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 31%
That score is bad. You know it.
Talking to your unseen friend? That's EVIL DEAD VERN.
Sacrilicious Month snooches our nooches with Kevin Smith's most ambitious movie, DOGMA. As lapsed Kevin Smith fans, was our faith rekindled? genrevision.com/posts/kevin-...
My Letterboxd review of LIFE OF BRIAN 𧑠The Pythons don't get enough credit as makers of truly epic cinema. Life of Brian delivers all their expected and expert absurdity while also producing a Biblical epic that can stand next to the best of the bunch. A masterwork that ought to be bigger than Jesus.
Just finished our @genrevision.com watch for the last entry of Sacrilicious Month, and we couldn't possibly end such a theme month without praising the Pythons.
Get the new LIFE OF BRIAN @criterion.bsky.social 4K. That transfer is good enough for Jehovah!
Is CRITTERS niche enough? Because I've got the exact movie that franchise needs.
i've known a lot of introverts and despite our solitary natures, we remain deeply drawn to one another... maybe we need to feel the comfort of being quiet while filling the space between with some form of poetry, music, or art.
I want to live in the alternate universe where the biggest national sporting event of the year is a fencing championship.
like, you realize that if we enable this shit it will never fucking end. they'll start releasing half-done movies and "patching" them later just like they did with software because they know people will pay for it
"You won't understand what's happening in Avengers Doomsday unless you purchase this $65 collectible popcorn bucket"
I can't even tell you how long it's been since I watched DOGMA. Maybe since I was a teenager? That was certainly when it was most prevalent in my life.
I've been putting off this revisit for a very long time. GenreVision was the right way to do it.
Last time I saw this movie I fell down the stairs onto my back and had a furious purple bruise the size of the state of Texas. You must also do this to yourself, that experience is plot critical to the story of Avengers: Doomsday.
The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Santβs βElephant.β
My Letterboxd review of DEAD MAN'S WIRE 𧑠This train departs the station as soon as you step on, chugga-chugga-choo-chooing its way with confidence. It ain't gonna rewire your brain, but Dead Man's Wire is a healthy helping of true crime hostage goods, all while keeping its emotional and thematic eyes on the prize. Just an ol' fashioned Motion Picture.
Want mainstream movies to be more than sequels, cinematic universes, remakebootmaginings, and video game adaptations?
Please support flicks like DEAD MAN'S WIRE. Good actors, tight filmmaking, and it doesn't feel like its greatest artistic intention is a collectible popcorn bucket.
The βcon-tentβ is actually a big fabric structure where scams happen and you do NOT want your work to be associated with it so donβt call it that.
"Thank you Brock" chants
The original allegations about Brock Lesnar in the complaint were one thing.
But the stuff in the new Janel Grant affidavit? Where β I won't get graphic, you can read it if you want to β he expressed a specific intent to violently injure her?
Fuck that guy.
Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
this is why Lex Luthor is Supermanβs greatest foe and always will be, no matter how much they give Darkseid the hard sell. What is the natural enemy of a god? Capitalism. Lex Luthor is the god of capitalism
I'm willing to wager that THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is not going to take the crown from the best TV-to-movie film.
Happy 80th birthday to Tim Curry. Today is the one day he is allowed to eat as much sesame cake as he wants.
