There's still time to save Tony's life.
Add your name to the petition to tell Tennessee to test all the forensic evidence before they execute a potentially innocent man.

This is important and shocking news from NYT.
And it doesn’t mention the DRC third-country deportation program has already begun. ICE sent 15 immigrants from Latin American countries there five days ago.

“One of our scientists loves his work so much, he even comes in on his day off, just to chart burn times!
In fact, he even took home some of the accelerants and…wait…wait, that’s probably not good…”
Listen, you can take my naps, when you pry them from my cold dead finge….wait
“The US has provided no evidence that any of the vessels were involved in drug trafficking, and legal experts and rights groups say the attacks amount to extrajudicial killings as they apparently target civilians who do not pose any immediate threat.”

Similar scenario:
Found some well-reviewed local restaurants in their area and secured some giftcards through email/phone (enough so that she could go out with a friend and cover the meal). The thought was: cash is good, but sometimes “directionless”, and this created a perfect “easy choice” to try
Crucial forensic evidence from the crime scene doesn't match Tony's.
Tell Tennessee to test the evidence before they put a potentially innocent man to death.
A potentially innocent man is set to be executed by Tennessee in the coming weeks even though no physical evidence links him to the crime.
We're demanding that the state runs DNA and fingerprint tests that could show Tony Carruthers didn't kill anyone.

Did we mention that you have to pay for everything up front? Just select what you think you’ll want over the course of dinner, and then we’ll run the charge. No refunds (we don’t know how).
What our tax dollars are funding: a disgusting ICE facility in Arizona packing people “like sardines,” 40+ in rooms built for 21, sleeping on concrete floors, no showers, begging for medical help.

Shared memory!
I never read it, but boy did I read about it.
It was the same for Madman by Mike Allred (which I eventually read and currently (and will always) love). Based on that memory, sounds like it’s time to check this one out!
And by “heat” I don’t mean greatness - I mean culturally impactful figures.
IMO some directors have a nose for cultural impact.
Orson Welles found himself in both the company of Hitler (whom he described as unremarkable) and Churchill (whom he revered) and these happenstances were less related to films than to his lifestyle.
Some people just know where the heat is.

I had this same issue - it just looked synthetic and “off”, I didn’t make it 15m in. I keep saying, if I want to watch a cartoon I’ll watch a cartoon. Meanwhile, I’m yearning for practical sets and effects.
But I’m glad people enjoyed it. I heard good feedback from people I trust. Just not for me.

Erika Arhuiz Vega died after suffering severe medical neglect at Core Civic’s privately owned ICE detention center in California City and being deported back to Peru. This isn’t the first case like this either and we fear that there is and will be more. @lataco.bsky.social

Ode to a House Pest:
Though your mortal trappings endure
And your insect wings have gone
Rejoice!
For your spiritual wings have unfurled.
You did the best that you could do
Reached heights before unseen
No more could be asked!
Enjoy the rest of your noble journey,
You’ll never be crushed again
Oh this is great: there’s now an #Artemis II Lunar Flyby Gallery on the NASA images site: www.nasa.gov/gallery/luna... (thx @dpmanchee.bsky.social for pointing it out)
art002e009302 (April 6, 2026) – The Artemis II crew – Mission Specialist Christina Koch (top left), Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen (bottom left), Commander Reid Wiseman (bottom right), and Pilot Victor Glover (top right) – uses eclipse viewers, identical to what NASA produced for the 2023 annular eclipse and 2024 total solar eclipse, to protect their eyes at key moments during the solar eclipse they experienced during their lunar flyby. This was the first use of eclipse glasses at the Moon to safely view a solar eclipse. Image Credit: NASA
Wow, so cool to be watching and learning in real-time! Was viewing the new images from NASA and saw the eclipse glasses you mentioned!
Awkward scenes aboard Artemis II as Trump stops ranting and none of the astronauts have anything left to say to him, leading to extended dead air
This is peak humanity; in the midst of a tough and terrible time, the Artemis II crew continues to wow me. I‘m overwhelmed by the human spirit of it all. I was always a fan of space exploration but I feel like this crewed flight has been my first experience with being drawn into the moment like this
