I've seen quite a lot of SNL sketches from the last few years. 5-6 minute run-time is common.

I also have a Steam Deck and generally it's been pretty good. Especially considering it spends it's whole time trying to fool these games into thinking that they're running on Windows. Hopefully you'll be able to tweak the settings and get it sorted.
