Nurse leaders took the fight to #AbolishICE to the streets of our nation’s capital today — because our patients and communities deserve care, not terror!

Nurses are the most trusted profession in the country. Why? Because we're not afraid to speak up for the truth!

We're on day ✌in Washington, D.C. speaking out against a rigged society that benefits the 1%, while the working class are squeezed more and more.

Péter Magyar victory speech:

"We want to make a country where no one is persecuted because they think differently or because someone loves in a different way to others."

He may not have campaigned as a liberal. But this is a huge change of direction and rhetoric from Orbán’s anti-LGBTQ+ crusade.

Hungary’s Viktor Orbán Concedes Defeat in Election The result is a stunning turn for a politician who has ruled as prime minister for 16 years and been an ally of President Trump.

the JD Vance effect: "Prime Minister Viktor Orbán conceded that he had lost Hungary’s election on Sunday, as early results showed a stunning defeat for the politician who has ruled the country for 16 years and been an ally of President Trump."

It's not just that Orbán losing inspires hope in other competitive-autocratic countries ruled by right-wing nationalist authoritarians. It's that his loss materially changes things in those other countries, because he's been operating as a headquarters and funding source...

What's feels really good right now is that JD Vance probably feels like shit rn.

Unpopular opinion because people seem to have no patience for nuance anymore. Kristi Noem is one of the most evil people ever, but at the same time, the human in me has a flicker of empathy for her spouse.

It's a sad situation, even if both of these individuals are terrible fucking people.

"Setting the standard for LGBTQI+ nonprofit employers"
That's what Advocates for Trans Equality
(A4TE) says - but our reality looks very different.

"Setting the standard for LGBTQI+ nonprofit employers" That's what Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE) says - but our reality looks very different.

For the past 8 months, we have been negotiating our contract.
Here is what we have experienced from Executive Leadership and C-Suite:
Staff have been questioned, spoken down to, and treated as unintelligent-especially those without law degrees.
Work has been bottlenecked and made unnecessarily difficult, harming relationships with external partners.
Executive Leadership and C-suite have shut down our Name Change Project (NCP), put jobs at risk, threatened the position of our union chapter president, and called union members liars.

And yet, Executive Leadership and C-suite publicly claim to support equity, trust, and strong workplace standards all while proposing:

Removing COLAs → because we're a "new organization"
Keeping layoff power → because of the "last contract"

So which is it, A4TE leadership? Are we a new organization or bound by the old contract?

The Union has already voted - 96% of union members authorized a strike.

If no agreement is made by May 4th, WE WILL STRIKE.

A4TE leadership, if you want to be the
"model standard", prove it.
Our union remains in solidarity and demands:

• Equitable layoff protections
• Fair COLAS

Show us who you really are.

Third Way is just trying to protect privatized interests, distracting you from advocating for universal health care by normalizing blaming trans people for wanting the same access.

They rely on transphobic and racist ideas so that the public won't pay attention to winning on basic human rights.
