The other reason is lack of charging infrastructure esp if u can’t charge at home and/or live in charging station desert.

I drive a plugin hybrid for that reason. By charging 1 or 2x a week I can run get town on 90% electric w/ my 35 mile battery. Only need major gas if go out of town.
