And why is everything escalating after the new year? It feels like there’s a missing piece of information here that unlocks it. Some polling (Epstein?) or some foreign actor calling in a debt or bad news about a health condition or…idk, something

Yes, but we need some of those in an attention economy.

I think there's an advantage to having it mostly be in one state to allow longshots to focus limited resources in one area.

PA seems too big, VA too DC. WI probably too white & CO may be too educated. AZ/NC are critical swing states and reflect needed Sunbelt focus given likely 2030 census results

What does too big too fail here even mean? All of the tax cuts and military spending, keep NIH spending the same?

I wish this were true, but I think a lot of voters really do like to blame immigrants and minorities and I'm not sure there's a political slight of hand that will get them to hate billionaires more.

You are such a numpty. Maybe in all of the empty space between your ears those two brain cells will collide again to allow for a new thought, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it. Enjoy the eel pie in the meantime...

Does this work for you? Poor assumptions yo drive attacks by association, like a blind man hoping to strike gold not realizing he’d never know truth even if he did happen upon it by shear dumb luck?

Well, we’re not white, but really appreciate your dedication to showing your entire ass here.

They should call it the Joker

TLDR: They will continue to fuck around if we don’t make them find out. There has to be real consequences to discourage them from doing this again the next time they have this much power.

Elon Musk should go to jail and his wealth used to payback some of the US debt he exploded.

We have to have real consequences for those in power, so that the next time someone thinks of overturning the Constitution in a power grab, the people around them will recognize the downside risk beyond “oh, my taxes may go up a bit”

appointed Dems. The Supreme Court should expanded EXPLICITLY because of McConnell’s fuckery. They should set standards for district drawing and add states in response to gerrymandering. ICE should be disbanded and its members prosecuted.

It’s not enough to get back power and try to reset to normal.

Yeah, I keep thinking about all the bad that I’m helpless to stop right now. And honestly, it would just give me a little hope to know that if we do get to vote again and have a change in power, that the Democrats would actually fight back. North Carolina should get more judges and have them be

They even do it at the academic medical centers. It’s mind boggling.

That is sick.

I wish he would do more of that and less of the foul hunting.

It's been more than 5 years since I've been to Europe. Going this summer and I'll keep an open mind.

Really important to point out here that not only do they do this, but they argued in front of the Supreme Court that they can’t be asked to do things as simple as check the address or street name to try to prevent it. This is fine to them.

Germany is nominally famous for beer, but have such adherence to tradition that it’s all very similar. There’s more options and variety in your average American beer hall than in entire regions of Germany.

Most European countries have some good local food options but are limited in their options.

Food in the US is underrated because even smaller towns have a wider set of options from around the world and we’ve had it for so long that new unique fusions have arisen - Cajun, TexMex, BBQ, etc.

Yes, if you compare the places with the worst food in America to the places with the best food in Europe, Europe will win. But the point here is two-fold: Americans have a wider set of options from around the world and we’ve had it for so long that new unique fusions have arisen-Cajun, TexMex, BBQ

Part of the whole point here is that “basic American food” is now a lot more than hamburgers and chicken nuggets. It’s a fusion and melting pot of tons of different cultures and even small towns have a wide variety of options.

these first 100 days. My hope is that it's just early and needs a little more time to go from "winning a trifecta" to "most unpopular President in history"

My worry is that the information systems that allowed Trump2 in the first place will shield him from the damage (again).

with bold visions of 'fixing things', but then don't actually want much to change and punish leaders who change too much too fast. And that the point of winning elections was to spend popularity capital to do good/important things.

And I just can't quite figure out how that framework applies to

Is it that Republicans in Congress are giving him explicit and tacit approval to do this, whereas Democrats wouldn't do that for a Democratic President? Is it that there are so many things we can't focus on them all at once?

There was an idea during Biden's term that Americans vote for candidates
