Headache is still going strong. And now I also have two bruised arms because they couldn't find a vein when drawing blood...

Day 9 of waking up with a headache. Feeling extremely stabby.

Me: Why don't I read more in the morning before I go to work?

Thing is: my uncle was a terrific cook! He could cook the most delicious Indonesian dishes.

So now, in hindsight, I wonder if he really didn't know how to make that salad or if he played along so I wouldn't feel bad about not knowing how to make a simple salad. Would have been just like him.

Was feeling tired all day long, so now that I'm in bed, I'm wide awake, of course.

Thinking about the time I tried to make chicory salad with my uncle, and we totally made some kind of terrible Frankensalad. Neither of us knew what went in a chicory salad, so we just muddled through. 1/?

Looks like I'm ending this year like I began: in bed with a cold/flu 😬

Half of my colleagues tested positive. I have a severe cold since after Christmas, but keep testing negative. Either it's a coincidence, or my body is in serious denial about catching covid so soon after the last time.

Are all those stories of kids believing in Santa Claus at 9 or even 10 true? Seems awfully late to tell them Santa's not real. Here we are told about Sinterklaas not being real at 6 at the latest.

Is 2023 over yet? I'm not enjoying these last few months at all!
