Gonna be blunt, I wish the original games were properly remastered and re-released on modern platforms alongside remakes, because quite frankly it's hard to not feel like these remakes are intended to entirely supersede the original games that are no longer available.

There's an argument for it gameplay-wise sometimes (having a "stealth mode" without having to slow down to a crawl). But most games could probably balance around needing it.
