A lighting-light filled sky with painterly clouds at night with the Chicago skyline along the bottom of the frame
One of the quietest, brightest thunderstorms I've seen in a while. So many gorgeous, distant flashes lighting up the sky over the city. #chicgao

This is Sadie. She was finally reunited with her human, astronaut Christina Koch, after her mom’s voyage around the moon took her the furthest any human has ever been from their dog. She can't wait to hear all about the universe. 14/10 (IG: astro_christina)

Yeah, it's definitely a unique vibe. The are some 'unkind' angles from behind the basin, but I hope those will soften once landscaping is in and trees mature

I like the south elevation as well...at least it has looked cool from my drone. The view of the north east facade from the wooded island bridge is a bit bleak, but I think it'll improve once the landscaping is in and matures.

A panoramic view of Jackson Park in Chicago. In the foreground waster of the Columbia Basin - a lagoon of water behind the Museum of Science and Industry. The foliage in the mid ground, on the shore behind the water, is dominated by blooming cheery blossoms trees featuring bright whiteish-pink blooms. In the center in the distance is the monolithic Obama Presidential Center.
Hot take: I like the Obama Presidential Center...especially as viewed from the Columbia Basin ringed with blooming cherry blossoms. It's like Chicago has it's own, modern, Washington-esque moment

Humanity did that. Science did that. Publicly-funded research did that. Excellent universities did that. Diversity did that. International cooperation did that.
Artemis II is a perfect example of what we can do at our best.

I've studied so many concentration camps through history that held vulnerable people in just this kind of crowded squalor. You demonize people, you demand more arrests, this is what you get. It already has its own budget and its own momentum, and is on track to go much further, unless we stop it.
