I’m volunteering for Doug Jones for Governor. He has an outside shot—it’s not a presidential election with Trump on the ballot, many conservatives see him negatively as they did Roy Moore, and Doug’s organizational plans are solid, going precinct by precinct, using lots of data. I have to hope!

My daughter is reading Cameron Crowe’s book in which he interviews Billy Wilder (in his 80s). The section on how he got MacMurray to play unlikable roles in Double Indemnity and The Apartment is fascinating. He’s also complimentary of Lemmon and Barbara Stanwyck (so great in every role)!
