Look at the way his allies treated numerous people… I don’t think “decent people” allow that to happen… let alone take part in it.

Considering the way him, Mcsweeney, Mahmood, Reeves, Reed, Ovenden etc have treated or been allowed to treat people… it’s not surprising people wan their pound of flesh.

Play stupid games… win stupid prizes.

Bounced in Lords? I wouldn’t think much

A shift leftwards… how far? I don’t think anyone really knows.

Although he could stay caretaker for a few months.

Tbf James has been a very heavy critic of Mahmood… and her rhetoric

This was clearly the point of that Burnham Rayner meeting… It’s where the party seems to have been moving over the last 3 months.

She’s lashing out.. it’s no different to Jenkyns flashing the middle finger…

His 500 seat majority (that he’ll almost certainly lose in 2029… the local results there will end any streeting campaign) and his close relationship with Mandelson will thankfully mean he’s getting nowhere near being PM

She’s weaponising both racism and sexism… it’s extremely vile

Also telling your own voters to “F off” is a pretty stupid strategy.

She clearly knows her time is running out and is just lashing out. This is very much a government that is dying.

Them being enamoured with a bloke who three line whipped on boris’s deal and then put the no SM, CU or FOM red lines into his manifesto is pretty hilariously depressing.

@stephenkb.bsky.social this is still being peddled….

It wasn’t about this… it was about thanking Mandelson for his help in getting Starmer elected. Come on John.

Broken clocks and being right twice a day if people want to use it… but this was mcdonnell’s point yesterday… it seems pretty bang on

@jamesdaustin.bsky.social are we not at a point where you almost worry what the public takes in (because Abbott was right… 99% of people don’t care about process stuff) is that you have a friend of paedo problem?

an ambassador job…

We can all go round and round in circles… but he is trashing the Labour brand.

However 7th of May will be one.

I’d argue selecting the friend (and this was well known at the time) of the world’s most notorious paedophile to the highest profile ambassadorial position is sackable… all because your COS is a protege and friend.

Then pressuring to give another paedo friend a

Considering how he’s treated colleagues… or allowed his “friends”/“allies” to treat others… this can get in the bin.

I underline that to say… I think what you’ve outlined is actually a pretty common belief amongst actual Labour voters… it sounds about right.

13 hours ago 2 0 0 0

I probably lean slightly left of you (I’m very much in that soft left grouping… but underline the word soft)… if I feel like I can’t vote for a Labour government… something has clearly gone wrong (I’m not important, but I’d argue most Labour voters aren’t 3 million miles from where I am)

Also… whatever people think of him (and I’m no Corbynite/McDonell fan)… it’s hard to see how he wasn’t on the money today.

The big issue was binning all of them… he didn’t need to do that… to then try to embed blue Labour into the Labour Party with no mandate for it is pretty unforgivable.

It’s the same thing that led to the WFA debacle, the two child cap stuff, the Gaza response, the Palestine action proscription, the Mahmood immigration proposals, the Gorton and Denton debacle… It just gets exhausting after a while… a generational opportunity completely frittered away

Tons of these random accounts coming out of the woodwork… it’s really weird

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

The three line whipping on Boris’ deal… the binning of every pledge he made… the response to Gaza was a huge one (how on earth he ended up saying what he did on LBC I still cannot compute), there were so many warnings he wasn’t suited to be a Labour PM.

Tbf that and 500 odd vote majority… good luck running to be PM with that

Wes’s big issue is he’s Mandelson’s protege… imagine how much fun the media will have digging into that.

1 day ago 1 0 0 0

I mean Lord Alli basically shut down a government policy on stopping donations… it wasn’t just “media concoctions”. Taking free suits, glasses, tickets, accommodation from the industries you’re supposed to be regulating and whilst people are struggling with COL crisis is at minimum utterly moronic
