I've been the primary cook in my family since is was a pre teen. Im 46 now. I've been doing the holiday meals since HS. I went to culinary school. I worked in food service.
And this year is the first time I'm cooking nothing.

It's kinda sweet tbh

For health reasons, I have been monitoring food & doing low impact work outs. Because of that and actually monitoring my meds & chronic illnesses, I've lost some weight.

I never minded being fat. But now people are commenting that I "look good". My body is sick but they only care about thinness.

I read a sign today that I thought said "ufology" turns out it was "urology".

A dead hawk on its back

Yo this hawk just crashed into my window and died.

I wanted to go out to it but my dogs wanted to get to it.

Today I went to the grocery store and on my way back I noticed some teenagers chasing a dog who was barking at them as they recorded. The dog was weaving in and out of the street near a school. I pulled over and sat on the sidewalk and made kissy sounds. The dog ran to me and crawled in my lap.
