Morning coffee has been consumed

I got rid of it last week, the algorithm just showed sensational posts and never anything of value. :/ plus it was just a distraction when I was trying to look at hobby things on IG

Nope, and it meant I was never afraid to pick up ANY book. All reading was open to me.

Trying to do the same. I miss ice cream but Blue Bell has gone so high in price it’s easy to skip. I would rather buy more olives lol!

The one thing we won’t let go of is Dorito’s, but we tend to just have w/sandwiches or I pair with fruit/carrot for husband work snacks.

It was tasty! They were $5/ea at Kroger. I was happy to experiment esp since my little pan can go from stove to oven.

Next time I might just do 1 ribeye for less $ and slice it up for me and husband.

Dinner! I overcooked the round tenderloin steaks a bit. 19 mins in oven :( Next time I’ll stick with 15 mins. Originally pan seared.

A crochet shawl

For nearly everything it’s my blue handled one from hobby lobby so maybe a G? I mostly do blankets and scarves!
Using a D for shawl rn and may use D for socks

Started a shawl using a fingering yarn and I am so happy with the progress! The stitches are simple but I’ve held onto this yarn for 4 years until I made sure I felt confident enough to make my mother something pretty. It was a battle taking the skein from skein to ball, took 2 hours 🥲 #crochet

This one is sock-beginner friendly! It’s crochet in the round for the toe, then crochet in rows for heel, then sc2tog was easy to search and then more in the round for the cuff, I just stopped early to practice ribbing. If I can google the pattern again I will share (thought I BM but did not)

I believe I will frog it as it’s not going to fit anyone I know comfortably 🤣 But at least I know I can make a sock! I was always terrified of socks!

A crochet sock

First sock ever complete! However the foot part is too wide and long bc my hook was too big. I like the simple pattern. The ankle part fits a little snug and the ribbing (I added, modified pattern) is stretchy and was good practice. Me and my chunky calves need more stitches above heel. #crochet
