Hot Take (The Musical) would do quite well.
It's colder than it should be outside. It's windy as can be. It's damp.
Why not transport yourself to Epcot Center, c. 1991, and ride Horizons?
*Phemoenal* work by @futureport82.bsky.social . Simply amazing.

Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.
I wrote about Dianna Russini, the constant pressure female reporters face to prove they aren't sleeping with sources (plus the pressure we do get from sources to get involved with them), and why all of this is so uncomfortable to talk about.

A little while after deleting the post from his social account, Trump staged a press event at the White House in which he had two bags of McDonalds food delivered to him by a lady wearing a red T-shirt with the words "Doordash Grandma" on the front. Look man, all I can do is describe these things. I am not responsible for the world being like this.

Dave Loggins.
Kenny's cousin.
Died a couple years ago, though, so you'd have to be content with vandalizing his headstone.
There's a Ricketts with minority ownership and an Ishbia right down the street and they still can't find a way to handle this?
I would like more Mr. Submarine and less Eric Byrnes in my ad breaks, thanks.
FUN FUN
(sorry, my old St. Louis days kicked in)

Remember when Obama wore a brown suit once and it was the end of decorum?
The White Sox just announced that they would retire Ozzie Guillen's #13 jersey on August 8th.
It seemed to be a genuine surprise to Ozzie - they broadcast the CHSN booth in left field as the announcement was made.

The popular Munetaka Murikami, at his new home for the first time.
100%. I just meant for the regular public. I know it was broadcast in schools because of Christa.
My understanding - and I was 4, so I don't know firsthand, but my dad was watching the launch from outside my grandparents' condo in Florida - is that the only network that did carry it live was CNN. The big 3 saw it as routine and didn't cover it.
As a queer person covering the Bulls, the team’s response to Jaden Ivey's homophobic comments came as a relief.
But the guard’s beliefs — and willingness to vocalize them — were not a surprise.
If Artūras Karnišovas can’t vet his trades, why should he continue running the Bulls front office?
How have we all memory-holed a championship-winning, actual buzzer-beating, three?
Kris Jenkins hit the best shot in March Madness history. Everyone else - Mullins, Laettner, even Lorenzo Charles - you're all fighting for number two.
(Yes, I know NOVA/UNC were tied. It's still the best shot ever.)
Does that include airfare from Vegas each weekend?
and then Rick Vaughn's debut in Major League, only with Schriffen over Uecker saying "well, there's not much margin of error with this team. There's a lot of talent, but..."
I have a good friend who remains mad at me, 24 years later, because I wouldn't let him out of work to go see Digital Underground.
Confession: in *2002* I had no idea what that was.
I know they have, but it *feels* like Mizzou hasn't won a tournament game since this one, which they shouldn't have won (BS block/charge at the end)

At least I know who to beg for a job!
Daniel Palencia said he started crying after getting to two strikes and being on the verge of closing out Venezuela's WBC title win.
"I knew that moment was mine. I knew I could do it. I knew he's gonna swing and miss. I just knew it. In those moments you have to be romantic with baseball."
Congratulations or I'm sorry?
700 affiliates. Seems like you could take the people laid off today and create a replacement that learned from the "mistakes" and make a killing.
Not for nothing but, seems to me that if the legacy, 'bloated' version of impartial radio news can break even...seems like whatever comes from the rubble could do better than that.
Broke even, you say? +$67,000?
Ah. You just don't want it.
I also wonder what the value of $1 in GOTV effort is downstate, as opposed to the collars. The price of gas alone would seem to preclude any kind of real effort.
What caught my eye was Jasper County - which is *tied* in the Senate Race - and wondering what VFW Hall those folks could gather in to hash it out.
Then I saw they could all fit in a moderately sized grain silo. With room for some grain.
Here's a fun thought experiment.
Based on current numbers, you could fit every person who pulled a D ballot in the state's *78* smallest counties into Soldier Field.
